The Mission

To support the Sales and Account Management teams to ensure they meet their ambitious sales and supply targets.

The Role

We have an ambitious plan to turbocharge our Spanish markets’ supply growth through 2019 / 2020 - and that’s where you come in as Marketplace Coordinator. We’re looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial graduate who is excited by the prospect of kick-starting their career in a fast-paced, global Series B startup. As our Marketplace Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for pitching to B2C prospects, coordinating and scheduling home tests and photoshoots, delivering feedback to hosts and overseeing the production of the listings. You’ll be the main point of contact for hosts and property managers, and will be co-responsible for the number and quality of listings that go live.

Whilst there will be the opportunity to work on other special projects, essentially your role is all about ensuring that our daily, weekly and monthly targets for onboarding new homes and hosts are met. This is a fantastic role to be introduced to the exciting work we’re doing here at The Plum Guide, and has every opportunity for fast progression within our team.

Please note, for this role it is an absolute requirement to have fluent or professional working language skills in Spanish.

The Role

To launch a new city we need a collection of amazing homes and this role is part of a London based team hunting down the best hosts with the most beautiful homes in all of the six cities we now operate in. Once found, your job is to make these hosts insanely excited by the opportunity to join Plum.

There’s a light & a dark side to this role.

On one hand, it’s an unparalleled opportunity to become a start-up expert. You will learn how a start-up plans to open a city, executes, and builds digital products. You will learn sales skills that will serve you for life and learn how marketing is done properly. If you love it & prove your value, there will be the opportunity of a permanent role at the end of the 3 months.

On the other hand, we have ridiculously high standards and we’ve not launched 4 cities simultaneously before - things will get intense, and not everything will go to plan. You’ll need to be driven, motivated by a challenge and have a hunger for sales to enjoy this ride.

The Role

We are looking for a rockstar to join our ambitious growth team as a Guest Sales Executive to match Guests with the perfect Plum homes across the world. It would be fantastic if you know at least two of our cities well but this is not a must if you are creative and enthusiastic. It would be simply brilliant if you speak Italian or French, as well as marvellous English.

Our Sales Team has been vital to our success so far and will continue to develop as one of our key USPs, not just selling to people, but guiding them to find their ideal home.

We are looking to grow this team with several new members as our business is growing which means that we have opportunities covering various times and days.

What you’ll be up to

Your responsibility will be to match guests with their perfect home. Here is what you can expect to be doing on a daily basis:

Working from our Shoreditch office, you will respond to incoming guest enquiries via email, LiveChat, phone and WhatsApp.
Answering Guest questions, guiding them with your local knowledge of our neighbourhoods and MatchMaking them with the homes that will deliver a perfect stay for their needs.
Managing your pipeline of leads and converting them into bookings.
Hitting your personal KPIs and the collective Sales Team targets.
Innovating and developing your sales techniques; contributing to team knowledge-sharing sessions; providing and learning from the team and peer feedback.
Making every guest a Plum super fan and being an advocate for our brand by charming their socks off with incredible service.

THE ROLE

In our view, most digital products either work well or look good. It seems like it’s never both and it’s our ambition to change that. We are building a business that brings world-leading technical excellence alongside incredible visual creatives and brand builders to be globally successful.

Our ambition is to be disruptive and pioneers in this space.

Whilst we are only in London we are looking to scale to 25 mega cities in the coming months starting with Paris in the new year.

Today, we are far from that. But this is what we hope you will help us achieve.

WHAT YOU’LL BE UP TO

With us being a start-up means you will be joining a best in class tech team of 7. This, in turn, means you will be able to make huge waves from day one. Every line of code you write will make a difference.

We already have a custom booking platform that provides a stepping stone, but what you see today is just a prototype. There is so much more we need to build and so much we need to improve.

We are excited to share our vision for the product with you, face to face, so you can better envisage what you will be up to and the kinds of technical challenges you will be solving.

For now, to give you a sense, here are the kinds of things you can expect to be doing:

- Contribute to the landscape of technology that will take our platform scale to multiple cities across the world.

- Participate as part of an Agile scrum team.

- Working across the stack to scope out new tech and build new features and apps. Our product team is full of amazing ideas.

- Greenfield projects including community platform, scrapping and monitoring platform, product features, i18n, hyper growth and conversion projects.

- Extending our core product that includes payments, calendar sync, search algorithms, messaging and performance.

- We are nuts about data. We aim to collect a lot more and leverage fundamental insights that shapes our business. If you have any machine learning interests, that would be a huge bonus.

- Over the year our team will grow and you will play a key role mentoring other developers, leading best practices, code reviews and shaping the stack.

- You will help shape our work flows by working on continuous integration, deployment and testing processes.

- Create coding standards and methodologies.

- You will plan our cloud architecture for speed, performance and scalability.

- Leading an “always on” program of iteration and innovation for our customer experience.

- Inspiring the team with new ideas and solutions.

- And generally writing awesome code!

ABOUT YOU

Our platform is the most important thing we do as a business. As such, we are looking to meet outstandingly brilliant characters with unreasonably high standards.

- Have 5+ years developing experience at start-ups, agencies or software companies.
